Sergey Mikhaylin
Dr. Mikhaylin is the head of EcoFoodLab at the Department of Food Science at Université Laval. He is also a member of the Institute of Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods (INAF), the Dairy Science and Technology Research Centre (STELA), the Joint Research Unit GastronomiQc Lab, and the International Associated Laboratory on the Bioproduction of Natural Antimicrobials (LIAAN). In addition, he leads the Circular Economy and Food Waste Reduction workshop within the Pôle Bioalimentaire.
Dr. Mikhaylin’s work focuses on sustainable development, eco-efficiency in the food processing and foodservice sectors, by-product valorization, waste management, and high-voltage electrical treatments applied to the food industry. He is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications. Moreover, Dr. Mikhaylin co-chairs the GreenFoodTech International Conference.
